Bupa CareConnect's Role in Advancing Saudi Vision 2030 through Healthcare Innovation

Bupa CareConnect, the healthcare division of Bupa Arabia for Cooperative Insurance, recently sponsored the Global Health Exhibition 2025 in Riyadh. The event was held under the auspices of the Saudi Ministry of Health and attended by His Excellency Fahad bin Abdulrahman Al-Jalajel, Minister of Health, along with numerous leaders and healthcare experts from both within Saudi Arabia and internationally.

This involvement highlights Bupa CareConnect's dedication to supporting Saudi Arabia's healthcare transformation. They aim to enhance spending efficiency and service quality through a model that integrates digital medical services, prevention, and early intervention. This aligns with Saudi Vision 2030's goals for a sustainable national healthcare system.

Bupa CareConnect Enhances Workplace Healthcare Services

Bupa CareConnect is advancing its digital primary care model, focusing on comfort, personalisation, and proactive healthcare delivery. Their approach offers comprehensive solutions tailored for individuals and families. This ensures a seamless care experience throughout all stages of the healthcare journey.

During the exhibition, Bupa CareConnect showcased its innovative preventive primary care model. This model emphasises proactivity, accessibility, and prevention. Beneficiaries can access medical services anytime via unified digital platforms connecting patients with doctors across an integrated network.

The company provides an extensive range of healthcare services through a 24/7 digital clinic managed by qualified Saudi physicians. These clinics offer instant video consultations and home visits for medical care, nursing, lab tests, and medication delivery—especially benefiting elderly patients and those with chronic conditions.

In its efforts to promote preventive healthcare using technology, Bupa CareConnect announced a collaboration with NEOM and Oura. This partnership aims to develop a digital health system based on data analytics using Oura's smart technology. It allows beneficiaries to track health metrics while enabling early risk detection by providers.

Mohamed El Missaoui, CEO of Bupa CareConnect, commented, "Our participation in the Global Health Exhibition 2025 reflects our vision of building a unified digital ecosystem founded on innovation, accessibility, and service quality. At Bupa CareConnect, we are building an integrated healthcare environment that simplifies the patient journey and ensures better health outcomes through advanced digital solutions that make care more human, connected, and effective. This commitment supports the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 in building a sustainable and inclusive national healthcare system."

Bupa CareConnect is also expanding into workplace environments by operating 15 clinics at client premises within major national institutions. These clinics provide general medicine, physiotherapy, occupational health services, psychological support, and preventive screenings to improve employee health.

The company plans to open 11 new clinics in various workplace settings during 2025. They also intend to sign cooperation agreements with government entities—a move reflecting confidence in their digital preventive healthcare model. This expansion supports Vision 2030's Quality of Life Program by evolving corporate healthcare into strategic partnerships focused on human capital development.

Bupa CareConnect is preparing to open its first comprehensive physical clinic in Riyadh. This facility will combine medical consultations with chronic care management within a unified digital environment. Specialised programs for managing chronic diseases like diabetes are overseen by multidisciplinary teams ensuring optimal outcomes.

The exhibition saw active participation from Bupa Arabia's leadership team. Dr Abdullah Khafagy discussed artificial intelligence's role in predictive analytics during a session on health financing and digital insurance. Dalal Alhamed participated in the Global Health Leaders Forum discussing outcome-based payment models.

Alhamed highlighted that future healthcare will be patient-centred where services reach patients directly rather than vice versa. She stressed that Bupa CareConnect integrates technology with human touch providing connected care anytime anywhere.

Bupa CareConnect concluded its participation by reaffirming its role as a national partner supporting Saudi Arabia’s smart healthcare transformation through an integrated digital ecosystem connecting various clinics improving employee community health outcomes.
