Priyanka Chopra Jonas Encourages Audience To Embrace Diversity At BRIDGE Summit 2025

During the BRIDGE Summit 2025, Priyanka Chopra Jonas shared her thoughts on breaking free from societal constraints. She expressed her constant struggle against being confined to predefined roles. "I have to constantly fight to get out of the box," she stated, emphasising the need for individuals to explore diverse opportunities beyond traditional expectations.

Chopra Jonas elaborated on how people are multifaceted and capable of evolving over time. "People are a mix of so many things to give to the world that all of us have the ability to do whatever we want to, when we want to, because we’re all changing," she said. This adaptability allows individuals to pursue various interests throughout their lives.

The actor discussed her career pivots, noting that many were driven by necessity rather than choice. "When I talk about the pivots in my career, most of them have not been choices," she explained. Circumstances often dictated her path, requiring her to adapt and excel in new ventures.

Reflecting on a challenging period in her career, Chopra Jonas recalled having six consecutive film failures in the early 2000s. To revive her career, she chose a female-led film called 'Fashion.' Despite initial scepticism about such roles, it turned out to be a successful decision that marked a positive turning point for her.

Priyanka also spoke about her transition into music in America. This move was not planned but arose from circumstances that encouraged her to try something different. Her diverse career is a blend of destiny and hard work, with external factors often guiding her decisions.

When asked about being selective with projects now, she admitted that earlier in her career, she accepted every opportunity due to industry challenges. "When I first started working, I was not selective at all," she said. However, as she gained experience and success, she became more discerning with her choices.

The Role of Hard Work and Social Media

Chopra Jonas highlighted how hard work is often romanticised among young people. She acknowledged making sacrifices during her early years for future success but recognised that relentless effort is not always necessary for achievement. "If you don’t work hard, you don’t deserve success, which is not true either," she remarked.

Discussing social media's impact, she noted the undue pressure it creates through comments and perceptions. "There’s so much pressure on everyone," she said. She advised against giving too much importance to fleeting online opinions that can distort reality.

Personal Fulfilment and Family

The session concluded with Chopra Jonas sharing what she considers her greatest achievement: creating a happy home environment for her family. "The biggest thing that I protect is my family and my sanity," she stated. Maintaining this balance is crucial for personal well-being amidst professional demands.

The BRIDGE Summit 2025 features over 300 sessions reflecting its expansive scope and ambition. The inaugural event will be held from 8–10 December 2025 at ADNEC in Abu Dhabi.
