Borouge Collaborates With MBZUAI To Advance AI Innovation And Student Opportunities
Borouge has entered into a collaboration with the Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI) to enhance research, share knowledge, and offer internships. This partnership aims to advance AI and digitalisation within Borouge. By focusing on innovation and AI solutions, the collaboration seeks to strengthen Borouge's role in sectors like energy, infrastructure, mobility, healthcare, electrification, advanced packaging, and agriculture.
Students will gain valuable experience through internships at Borouge. These opportunities are designed to improve their skills and professional growth. Additionally, workshops and seminars will be provided to keep students updated on industry advancements. This initiative is part of Borouge's commitment to nurturing future AI leaders.

The partnership aligns with Borouge’s strategy for AI, digitalisation, and technology (AIDT). It supports the company's efforts in creating value across its operations. In the first half of 2024 alone, Borouge achieved $215 million in value creation through projects spanning operations to sales and sustainability.
Hazeem Sultan Al Suwaidi, CEO of Borouge, stated that AI is crucial for accelerating growth and transforming operations. He expressed satisfaction in collaborating with MBZUAI to support future AI leaders in designing solutions for the petrochemical industry. "We have already seen the power that AI can have in our business," he noted.
