Bolt Launches Ride-Hailing Services In UAE On Eid Al Etihad To Enhance Transportation Options

Bolt, a prominent ride-hailing service, has commenced operations in the UAE as of 2nd December. This launch coincides with the UAE's Eid Al Etihad, symbolising the nation's dedication to progress and unity. Bolt's entry into the UAE market aligns with the country's vision for technological advancement, ensuring premium and sustainable services in transportation.

The introduction of Bolt supports Dubai's initiative to convert 80% of taxi trips to e-hailing in the future. The user-friendly Bolt app allows customers to book rides, track drivers, and make payments conveniently through their smartphones. This move is expected to enhance transportation accessibility across the region.

Eduard Suchánek, Regional Manager for Middle East & North Africa, remarked on the significance of launching Bolt during Eid Al Etihad. He stated, "Launching Bolt in the UAE on such a momentous occasion as the 53rd Eid Al Etihad is a testament to our commitment to the country’s vision of progress and innovation." This expansion follows successful operations in Saudi Arabia and Egypt.

Dubai's strategic location attracts visitors globally, making it an ideal market for Bolt. The company aims to leverage this opportunity by meeting increasing demand for efficient transport solutions. Suchánek highlighted that Dubai provides an exemplary platform for growth in the Middle East.

Mansoor Alfalasi, CEO of Dubai Taxi Company, expressed enthusiasm about Bolt's launch. He noted that Dubai frequently experiences high visitor numbers, leading to increased transportation needs. Alfalasi said, "Since the announcement of the launch of Bolt in October this year, we are pleased to see its operations come to fruition."

Bolt's initial fleet will include limousines from reputable partners like DTC vehicles. This fleet aims to cater to Dubai's growing demand by offering both affordable and luxury transport options. Future plans involve adding taxi services on the app, creating a versatile mobility ecosystem.
