Bitget Celebrates Women In Blockchain With Blockchain4Her Awards And Summit Trip
Bitget, a prominent cryptocurrency exchange and Web3 company, has introduced the Blockchain4Her Awards to celebrate women who are driving innovation promoting gender inclusivity in the blockchain sector. Nominations are open until August 30, with winners announced at the SheFi Summit in Singapore on September 17, 2024.
The awards aim to recognise women's achievements in blockchain and encourage discussions about gender equality within the industry. This initiative is part of Bitget's Blockchain4Her program, launched in January with a $10 million commitment to fostering diversity and inclusion. A recent Bitget study highlighted that female-led blockchain startups received only 6% of total funding, emphasising the need for such initiatives.

Categories and Opportunities
The awards feature two categories: Rising Female in Blockchain Award and Innovative Web3 Female Entrepreneur Award. The Rising Female in Blockchain Award celebrates emerging women eager to enter Web3, focusing on their potential and early contributions. Three winners will receive scholarships for SheFi's 8-week blockchain MBA-style course, online speaking opportunities, and mentorship within the Blockchain4Her community.
The Innovative Web3 Female Entrepreneur Award honours women founders who are advancing Web3 with transformative impacts. The winner will be awarded a trip to Singapore for the SheFi Summit, dedicated media interviews, priority access to ForesightX Accelerator, and an invitation to mentor future leaders in the Blockchain4Her community.
