Bengaluru Skill Summit 2025 To Focus On Workforce Innovation And Skill Excellence

The Karnataka Skill Development Corporation (KSDC), in partnership with the Karnataka Skill Development Authority (KSDA), Knowledge Partner Karnataka Digital Economy Mission (KDEM), and Germany as the Country Partner, is preparing to host the first Bengaluru Skill Summit 2025.

This event aims to establish Karnataka as a global leader in workforce innovation and skill excellence. It will take place from November 4 to 6, at The Lalit Ashok, Bengaluru.

Shri Siddaramaiah, the Chief Minister of Karnataka, will inaugurate the event on November 4. He will be joined by Shri D. K. Shivakumar, Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka, and Dr. Sharanaprakash R. Patil, Minister for Skill Development, Entrepreneurship and Livelihood and Medical Education. Special guests include The Hon. Muhammad Reza Cassam Uteem from Mauritius, Dr. Philipp Ackermann from Germany, and Mr. Ashutosh Gupta from Coursera.

This year's theme is "Workforce 2030: Scale, Systems, Synergy." It highlights expanding opportunities at scale, enhancing systems for quality and relevance, and fostering synergies among stakeholders.

The summit expects over 3,000 attendees including policymakers, corporate leaders, academic experts, and innovators; more than 100 speakers such as ministers and global leaders; and over 50 exhibitors and partners.

Notable speakers include Mr. Subroto Bagchi of Mindtree fame, Mr. Ravi Venkatesan formerly of Microsoft India & Bank of Baroda, Shri Atul Kumar Tiwari IAS, Shri B.V.R. Subrahmanyam of NITI Aayog,

Mr. Naveen Narayanan from Biocon Biologics, Ms. Saraswathi Ramachandra from Lightcast.io, Gi Soon Song from Asian Development Bank, Mish Eastman from RMIT University among others.

An exclusive ministerial panel is set for November 5, on "Convergence of Education, Skills & Industry for a Trillion USD Economy by 2032." This session will involve senior policymakers and industry leaders discussing how aligning education with skilling can accelerate India's economic growth towards a trillion-dollar economy by 2032.

The panel will feature Dr. Sharanaparakash Rudrappa Patil along with M.B. Patil for Large & Medium Industries; Priyank Kharge for Rural Development & IT; Dr. M.C Sudhakar for Higher Education—all from Karnataka's government—and moderated by Madan Padaki of Head Held High Foundation.

The summit invites participation across sectors like Aerospace & Defence, AgriTech, Automotive among others aiming to position Karnataka as a hub for skill innovation fostering collaboration across industries building future-ready workforce.

Delegates can explore emerging skilling innovations network with government industry leaders participate in live showcases policy dialogues discover career partnership opportunities during this eventful gathering.

Highlights include Skillathon 2025—a national-level innovation challenge aimed at harnessing young creative minds reimagining India's skilling ecosystem designing impactful solutions future work; Kaushalya Karnataka Awards recognizing corporate institutional excellence spotlighting progressive practices collaborative models driving inclusive growth innovation workforce competitiveness across state; Skill Expo Pavilion showcasing latest training technologies EdTech solutions cultural performance celebrating rich heritage vibrant traditions through Karnataka Vaibhava grand showcase.

The Summit will also feature masterclasses deep-dive sessions policy roundtables dynamic Youth Zone connecting students young professionals career opportunities reflecting upon four major areas comprising fresh ideas skilling skills everyone including women young adults gig workers global skills getting ready international jobs preparing things like AI green jobs online world.
