BEEAH Group Announces 2024 Future Pioneers Award For Global Sustainability Innovators

BEEAH, a leader in sustainability and digital transformation, has unveiled the 2024 edition of the "Future Pioneers Award" at a ceremony held at its headquarters. This prestigious award recognises innovative ideas and projects that advance sustainability. It provides a platform for individuals worldwide to showcase pioneering ideas that support societal development and promote a more sustainable future.

The Future Pioneers Award, previously known as the Schools Award for Environmental Excellence, aims to encourage environmentally friendly practices. Over the past decade, it has received around 3,000 entries annually from UAE schools. The award has expanded globally, inviting participation from school and university students and experts with innovations supporting local and global sustainability goals.

Khaled Al Huraimel, CEO and Vice Chairman of BEEAH Group, expressed enthusiasm for the initiative's launch. He emphasised BEEAH's commitment to inspiring innovation pioneers to tackle pressing global challenges through its leadership in sustainability. Al Huraimel highlighted the potential for positive impacts on climate change by showcasing promising innovations across various sectors.

The competition is open to participants worldwide, providing a vital platform for innovators to expand their scope and achieve a more sustainable future. The event is held under the patronage of Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, President of the American University of Sharjah. The award celebrates individuals aiming to shape a brighter and more sustainable future.

Hind Al Huwaidi, CEO of BEEAH Group, noted that the Future Pioneers Award supports innovations addressing environmental challenges. She stated that BEEAH aims to honour innovators to encourage ambition and exceptional changes towards achieving carbon neutrality by supporting innovation among competitors globally.

Categories and Registration Details

The Future Pioneers Award invites participants to submit applications in five categories focused on innovation in sustainability. Registration ends on 31st August 2024, with the awards ceremony scheduled for February 2025. The 2023 edition saw 631 participants from around the world, with 14 winners including an autonomous indoor air quality robot prototype supported by Lidar technology and a mobile application (SCLEAN) for transforming reusable materials.

BEEAH has been launching competitions, award programmes, and awareness campaigns for over a decade to promote positive environmental practices among younger generations. Through its Sustainability Academy, formerly known as BEEAH School for Environmental Education, BEEAH reaches hundreds of schools across the UAE annually. The Academy encourages thousands of teachers' participation and integrates environmental education into curricula for approximately 300,000 students.

The Future Pioneers Award is BEEAH's latest programme aimed at engaging academia, companies, and community members to adopt positive environmental practices. By recognising change-makers who play pivotal roles in protecting the climate and shaping Earth's future, BEEAH continues its mission to lead sustainability efforts at corporate and city levels.
