Bayanat And Autonomous A2z Stun With Remote Driving Demo At DRIFTx

Bayanat, a leader in AI-powered geospatial solutions, announced a strategic partnership with South Korean autonomous technology firm, Autonomous a2z, at DRIFTx, an international platform for smart and autonomous mobility solutions. This collaboration marks a significant step in the advancement of Autonomous Fleet operations, leveraging both companies' expertise to drive forward sustainable smart mobility and transport systems.

During DRIFTx, attendees at the Bayanat Pavilion witnessed a live demonstration of a vehicle being teleoperated from 7,000 kilometers away in K-City, South Korea, showcasing the joint autonomous driving capabilities of Bayanat and Autonomous a2z.

Remote Driving Feat at DRIFTx

Abdulla Al Shamsi, Chief Operating Officer of Bayanat, highlighted the partnership as a milestone in Bayanat's growth and a testament to the company's strong Smart Mobility Solutions offering. "The UAE and the region's young, tech-savvy population are driving demand for advanced solutions. Our collaboration with Autonomous a2z empowers the next generation with safer, smarter, and more accessible mobility options," Al Shamsi stated.

Bayanat has established itself as a pioneer in autonomous driving and unmanned systems in the Middle East, with capabilities spanning Autonomous Solutions, Cloud Infrastructure, Digital Twins, Charging Infrastructure, Transportation Super Apps, and Testing and Simulation.

Technological Innovation and International Collaboration

Jihyeong Han, CEO of Autonomous a2z, expressed pride in showcasing their technology in partnership with Bayanat at DRIFTx. "This demonstration of our remotely controlled teleoperations technology is not only a first outside of Korea but signifies a meaningful achievement for the Korean automotive industry and government, supported by the $1 billion Korea Autonomous Driving Development Innovation Foundation," Han stated.

At the event, Autonomous a2z also presented its Middle Shuttle, a fully autonomous electric vehicle that can accommodate up to nine passengers, alongside its LiDAR Infrastructure System (LIS) for enhancing road safety and traffic management. Additionally, the firm demonstrated its LiDAR Surveillance Systems (LSS), an innovative sensor system that utilizes 3D data for face and people detection.
