AUS Career Fair 2025 Links Students To Over 914 Internships And Job Opportunities

Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, President of the American University of Sharjah (AUS), opened the AUS Career Fair 2025. The event welcomed 79 prominent employers from various sectors to the campus. More than 1,500 students and alumni attended, gaining valuable insights into career opportunities and engaging with top recruiters.

The AUS Office of Advancement and Alumni Affairs (OAAA) organised Career Prep Week before the fair. This initiative included workshops on essential career skills such as CV writing, interview techniques, and personal branding. The aim was to prepare students for meaningful interactions with potential employers.

AUS Career Fair Offers Over 914 Jobs

Dr. Tod Laursen, Chancellor of AUS, emphasised the university's commitment to student success. "At AUS, we are committed to equipping our students with the skills, knowledge and networks they need to excel in their careers," he said. The career fair highlights strong industry partnerships and provides a platform for students to connect with leading employers.

Reem Bardan, Executive Director of Advancement and Alumni Affairs at AUS, highlighted the importance of aligning employer selection with student aspirations. "Our goal is to ensure career readiness by carefully selecting top employers in the region who align with the aspirations of our students and alumni," she stated.

This year introduced a new feature at the Career Fair: a Career Assessment Booth. This booth is part of the Masar Al Ghurair Initiative in collaboration with the Abdullah Al Ghurair Foundation. It uses artificial intelligence to offer personalised skills guidance, career paths, and job matching for learners.

The booth aims to assess both hard and soft skills of AUS students and alumni. This evaluation provides them with valuable insights before they begin their job-seeking journey at the fair.

Upcoming Career Forum

On 24th-25th February, students will have another chance to engage with industry leaders at the AUS Career Forum 2025. The forum will be held under the theme "Navigating Tomorrow–A Glimpse into the Future of Careers." This event promises further opportunities for networking and professional growth.

The initiatives at AUS reflect a dedication to preparing students for successful careers through strategic partnerships and innovative resources. These efforts ensure that graduates are well-equipped for future challenges in their professional journeys.
