ATMS Education Group To Invest AED 100 Million In New University Of Wolverhampton Campus In Ras Al Khaimah

ATMS Education Group plans to invest AED100 million in a new University of Wolverhampton campus in Ras Al Khaimah. The lease for 20,000 m² of land in the Al Hamra area at Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ) was signed by RAKEZ's Yaser Abdulla Al Ahmed and ATMS's Dr Hemant Kumar.

The University of Wolverhampton, with a history spanning over 190 years, aims to open its new campus by December 2025. This facility will include modern amenities and separate hostels for male and female students. It is designed to accommodate more than 600 students, offering an environment that supports both learning and personal development.

Investment in University of Wolverhampton Campus

The university aligns with Ras Al Khaimah’s goals for sustainable growth and innovation in higher education. It will provide traditional degree programmes alongside short-term certifications and executive education. These offerings are tailored to meet industry demands, contributing to the emirate’s economic sectors and workforce needs.

Programmes such as Business Administration, Computer Science, Health Sciences, and Engineering will be available. These courses aim to support the economic development of Ras Al Khaimah by addressing workforce requirements in various sectors.

Dr Hemant Kumar explained that choosing Ras Al Khaimah was strategic due to its position as a link between East and West. The emirate's growing population, safety, and affordability make it ideal for expanding global educational offerings. RAKEZ has facilitated this setup by providing a ready-made building on premium land in the emirate's emerging downtown area.

RAKEZ Group CEO Ramy Jallad expressed enthusiasm about welcoming the University of Wolverhampton to the region. He stated that this development marks a significant step towards making Ras Al Khaimah a leading destination for higher education. Supported by RAKEZ's infrastructure, this campus aims to foster academic excellence and innovation.

Commitment to Socio-Economic Growth

Dr Hemant Kumar also highlighted ATMS's commitment to contributing significantly to Ras Al Khaimah’s socio-economic development. The goal is to equip students with essential global skills while fostering a multicultural academic community.

This initiative reflects the ambition to transform Ras Al Khaimah into a vibrant hub of learning and intellectual growth, driving academic excellence across the region.
