Ataya Initiative Delivers Ambulances To Enhance Healthcare Services In Gaza Amid Ongoing Crises

The Ataya Initiative has dispatched ambulances to bolster healthcare services in Gaza. This effort is part of Operation Chivalrous Knight 3, which aims to address the humanitarian needs of Gaza's residents. The ambulances were included in the fifth shipment that recently reached Egypt's Port of Arish.

H.H. Sheikha Shamsa bint Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, who assists the Chairman of the Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) for Women Affairs, highlighted Ataya's role. She noted its significance in promoting global humanitarian and social development through innovative projects in healthcare, education, and social services.

Ataya Initiative Supports Gaza Healthcare with Ambulances

Sheikha Shamsa pointed out the severe challenges faced by Gaza's healthcare sector due to ongoing crises. She stated, "The Ataya Initiative carefully assessed the actual needs of the people there, leading to the decision to allocate proceeds from the latest Ataya exhibition to support humanitarian causes for Palestinians, particularly in healthcare."

The initiative recognised an urgent need for ambulances to save lives and care for patients. "This initiative adds to the UAE's track record of supporting Palestinians, particularly in healthcare, through numerous programmes and initiatives that have strengthened Gaza's medical sector and offered extensive care to its people," she added.

These ambulances are expected to empower healthcare institutions by enabling medical teams to reach patients swiftly. This timely response is crucial for providing necessary care and addressing emergencies effectively.

The Ataya Initiative continues to play a vital role in ensuring sustainable giving. It meets development goals in underserved communities by focusing on essential sectors like healthcare. This approach helps address immediate needs while fostering long-term growth.

The UAE's commitment to supporting Palestinians is evident through various programmes aimed at strengthening Gaza's medical infrastructure. These efforts have significantly improved access to healthcare services for its residents.
