UAE Armed Forces Celebrated As Pillars Of Pride And Strength By Umm Al Qaiwain Ruler

H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mu'alla, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Umm Al Qaiwain, highlighted the significance of 6th May as a historic day for the UAE. This date marks the unification of the Armed Forces under one command and flag, a feat achieved by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and other founding leaders.

Sheikh Saud emphasised that the Armed Forces have been a vital shield for the nation since their inception. They are a source of pride and confidence for UAE citizens and residents. The Founding Fathers relied on them to strengthen the Union's foundations and protect national achievements.

Under H.H. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan's leadership, the UAE Armed Forces have seen significant advancements. They have transformed with comprehensive development across military units, focusing on sophisticated defence industries driven by technological innovation. This progress has enhanced the UAE’s standing in defence, earning regional and international recognition.

Sheikh Saud also reflected on the sacrifices made by loyal soldiers on this memorable day. He honoured those who gave their lives defending religion, homeland, and justice. Their heroic deeds are etched in history, ensuring their names remain celebrated forever.

The Ruler of Umm Al Qaiwain paid tribute to the valiant Armed Forces for their unwavering dedication to national security.
