A.R.M. Holding And BIG-Bjarke Ingels Group Collaborate On Jebel Ali Urban Development Project
A.R.M. Holding, a prominent investment firm in the UAE, has announced a significant partnership with the renowned architecture studio BIG-Bjarke Ingels Group. This collaboration aims to transform the area around the historic Jebel Ali Racecourse into a vibrant urban landscape by the end of 2026. The project aligns with Dubai's 2040 Urban Master Plan, which focuses on sustainable growth and enhancing quality of life.
The masterplan is designed to integrate Emirati heritage with modern design standards, creating spaces that are both culturally meaningful and forward-looking. "This partnership with BIG embodies our core values of creativity, integrity, and agility," said Mohammad Saeed Al Shehhi, CEO of A.R.M. Holding. "In a diverse community of over 200 nationalities, we believe in creating spaces that connect people on a deeper level."

The development will cover 5 square kilometres and is set to redefine Dubai's urban landscape. It will feature interconnected communities around a central park, promoting social interaction and environmental sustainability. Bjarke Ingels, Founder and Creative Director of BIG-Bjarke Ingels Group, stated: "Occupying the grounds of Dubai’s historic Jebel Ali Racecourse, this project is an archipelago of urban islands in a sea of green."
Each island within the masterplan will connect to its surrounding neighbourhoods, increasing in density towards the central park. This park acts as a social hub while extending nature throughout the urban environment. The project aims to create thriving communities that inspire future generations by harmonising local culture with global design standards.
The initiative is more than just an architectural endeavour; it represents a movement towards holistic prosperity guided by national priorities and measurable KPIs. "Through this transformative development, we are redefining Dubai's landscape by going back to our legacy and culture," added Al Shehhi.
The project is expected to commence in early 2026, marking a new chapter in Dubai's urban development narrative. It prioritises human connection and environmental responsibility while embracing innovative design principles. The collaboration between A.R.M. Holding and BIG-Bjarke Ingels Group ensures every aspect is meticulously crafted for tangible impact.
This ambitious plan not only enhances Dubai’s position as a global destination but also fosters communication and understanding among its diverse population. By integrating green spaces and promoting human-centric design, it reinforces Dubai's commitment to sustainable urban growth over the next two decades.
