Arada Central Business District Achieves WiredScore Platinum
Arada has reached a significant milestone in the development of the Aljada megaproject, a DHS35 billion venture, by securing the WiredScore Platinum certification for the initial phase of its Central Business District (CBD) in Sharjah.
This certification is recognized as the highest award by WiredScore, a global standard for digital connectivity and intelligent building benchmarks.

It positions the Arada CBD as Sharjah's premier development to achieve such a prestigious status, ensuring top-tier digital infrastructure for its future commercial tenants.
Scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2027, this development marks a pivotal step towards establishing a technologically advanced commercial hub.
Ahmed Alkhoshaibi, Group CEO of Arada, stated, "WiredScore Platinum is a prestigious certification that affirms our commitment to resilient digital infrastructure tailored to modern business needs. With this milestone, Arada CBD positions itself as a national benchmark for smart, connected commercial environments."
He further highlighted the strategic advantages for tenants, including proximity to essential transport links and access to the vibrant lifestyle and residential offerings within Aljada.
William Newton, CEO of WiredScore, emphasized the broader regional impact of this achievement by saying, "Achieving WiredScore Platinum for Arada CBD is a significant milestone not only for Sharjah but for the region more broadly. Arada's ambition to create a digitally connected business hub at this scale sets a new benchmark for what future-ready office developments should look like."
This endorsement from WiredScore underscores the groundbreaking nature of Arada's endeavors to create a connected business environment that meets the digital needs of contemporary and future businesses.
John Hilliard, Director of the Middle East at WiredScore, also commended Arada's vision, stating that the certification "signals to tenants that Arada CBD will deliver the digital reliability, speed, and resilience that businesses demand, and is highly adaptable to their future requirements."
His words reinforce the notion that Sharjah is becoming a forward-thinking commercial destination, thanks to Arada's commitment to superior digital infrastructure.
The event celebrating this milestone saw the formal handover of the WiredScore Platinum plaque and the signing of a comprehensive agreement that aims for WiredScore and SmartScore certification for 37 office buildings within Arada CBD.
This initiative represents the UAE's first office-focused WiredScore portfolio collaboration, highlighting Arada's broad commitment to digital excellence across its developments.
Phase 1 of Arada CBD will offer 812,000 square feet of Grade A leasable office space, incorporating 1,666 parking bays, 76,000 square feet of landscaped green spaces, and 26,500 square feet dedicated to retail and food & beverage outlets.
These features are designed to foster a premium business environment complemented by integrated lifestyle and wellness amenities, indicating Arada's holistic approach to commercial development.
Furthermore, the entire Arada CBD master plan, encompassing 38 smart office buildings over 4.3 million square feet with a central green spine, is designed to incorporate smart-city technologies.
This includes advancements in lighting, waste, and traffic management, supporting a sustainable and circular economy model. Arada's efforts in securing the WiredScore Platinum certification for the first phase and initiating certification work for Phase 2 underscore its commitment to maintaining high standards of digital connectivity across the district.
