Arabian Travel Market 2024 To Showcase Expanding Travel Tech Innovations In Dubai

The Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2024 is poised to set a new benchmark in the travel technology landscape, with its Travel Tech space expanding by 56% compared to the previous year. Scheduled from Monday 6 to Thursday 9 May at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), UAE, this event will see participation from over 100 leading travel technology companies globally. This surge in exhibitor numbers, up by 33% from last year, underscores the booming interest in travel tech innovations.

Sponsored by Sabre, the ATM Future Stage will be a focal point of the event, replacing the former Travel Tech Stage. It aims to spotlight the latest technological advancements aimed at enhancing efficiency and profitability within the travel and tourism sector. Over a hundred expert speakers will delve into topics such as leveraging technology in payment solutions, professional development, accessibility, and sustainability.

ATM 2024 Highlights Travel Tech Boom

Danielle Curtis, Exhibition Director ME for Arabian Travel Market, expressed enthusiasm about the ATM Future Stage. She highlighted its role in showcasing the industry's evolving innovation landscape and building upon the success of previous Travel Tech offerings. The global travel technology market, valued at $9.4 billion in 2022, is anticipated to reach $21 billion by 2032, according to Allied Market Research. The ATM Future Stage will host presentations and sessions to explore opportunities within this rapidly growing sector.

Key sessions include discussions on future predictions by a futurist, strategic AI capabilities within business, prioritizing travelers through AI, and harnessing technology for enhanced traveler journeys in collaboration with Amadeus. Additionally, the ATM Start-up Pitch Battle returns for its third edition, offering a platform for promising startups to present innovative solutions that could transform the industry.

Notably, tech giant Huawei will sponsor this year’s summit on Capitalising on China's Predicted Tourism Surge at the ATM Global Stage. This aligns with ATM 2024’s theme of 'Empowering Innovation: Transforming Travel Through Entrepreneurship’, highlighting a mix of ambitious startups and established brands in this year’s Travel Tech space.

For the first time, ATM 2024 will introduce a 'Best Use of Technology’ award at its annual exhibitor awards. This initiative aims to recognize exhibitors who have effectively integrated technology into their presentations.

The upcoming 31st edition of ATM will continue to serve as a pivotal gathering for policymakers, industry leaders, and travel professionals from across the Middle East and beyond. It encourages forging new relationships, exchanging knowledge, and identifying innovations that can drive the future of global travel and tourism towards efficiency and sustainability.

Last year's ATM attracted over 40,000 travel trade professionals, setting a new attendance record. With more than 2,100 exhibitors and representatives from over 155 countries, it provided a global platform for announcing ATM’s commitment to achieving net-zero emissions. Strategic partners for ATM 2024 include the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET), Emirates Airlines, IHG Hotels & Resorts, and Al Rais Travel.
