Arabian Travel Market 2024 Shatters Records With Over 46,000 Attendees

The 31st edition of the Arabian Travel Market (ATM), which recently concluded in Dubai, UAE, witnessed an unprecedented attendance, highlighting the global travel and tourism sector's robust recovery and optimism. With more than 46,000 industry professionals from over 160 countries, including 33,500 visitors, the event marked a 15% increase in attendance from its previous year, setting a new record.

Empowering Innovation at the Heart of ATM 2024

Under the theme 'Empowering Innovation: Transforming Travel Through Entrepreneurship', ATM 2024 served as a vibrant platform for over 2,600 exhibitors at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC). The focus was on discussing growth drivers and identifying future opportunities within the global tourism sector. Danielle Curtis, Exhibition Director ME, Arabian Travel Market, expressed her delight at the record-breaking attendance and the event's role in shaping a more sustainable tourism sector.

ATM 2024  Record-Breaking 46 000 Attendees

H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, graced the event, endorsing major transport and tourism projects, aligning with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai.

Insightful Discussions and Innovative Approaches

The opening session spotlighted the collaborative efforts among Gulf nations to enhance the GCC's tourism offering, featuring prominent policymakers and insights from the region's tourism authorities. Another session dedicated to the Indian outbound market unveiled key market opportunities and travel trends, signaling the growing importance of Indian travellers in the global tourism landscape.

Furthermore, a discussion titled 'Looking Skyward for Innovation: How Technology is Disrupting Aviation' provided predictions for the future of air travel and highlighted technology's critical role in accommodating the anticipated surge in air traffic. The session included contributions from notable aviation and travel industry leaders.

The ATM Start-up Pitch Battle saw InterLnkd emerge victorious, demonstrating the event's commitment to fostering innovation across sectors. The Best Stand Design Award went to Experience Abu Dhabi for its innovative and visually appealing exhibition space, alongside other winners that showcased creativity and industry excellence.

ATM 2024's success was further supported by strategic partnerships with leading entities such as Dubai's Department of Economy and Tourism (DET), Emirates, IHG Hotels & Resorts, and Al Rais Travel, underscoring Dubai's position as a global hub for travel and tourism.

Looking ahead, Arabian Travel Market 2025 promises to continue its tradition of driving growth and innovation in the travel and tourism sector, with the next edition scheduled from 28 April to 1 May.
