Arab Media Summit 2025 To Gather Leaders And Innovators For Future Of Media In Dubai

The Dubai Press Club has announced the agenda for the Arab Media Summit 2025. This event will gather key figures in journalism, digital content, and communication to discuss the future of media in the region. Scheduled from 26 to 28 May at the Dubai World Trade Centre, it aims to shape a new path for Arab media.

Held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and guided by H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Summit expects over 6,000 attendees. These include ministers, editors-in-chief, media leaders, content creators, influencers, academics, and technology professionals from across the UAE and Arab world.

Arab Media Summit 2025 Gathers Media Leaders

H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum stated: "The Arab Media Summit 2025 marks a new strategic milestone in Dubai’s integrated vision to build a dynamic Arab media landscape — one that is equipped to respond to global shifts and shape impactful content that reflects the region’s identity and future aspirations."

The agenda includes discussions on artificial intelligence and transformative technologies. It also focuses on empowering Arab youth by creating opportunities for them in content creation. The aim is to align with regional identity while envisioning a stable future.

The Summit features several forums over three days. The Arab Youth Media Forum on 26 May will honour winners of the Ibda’a – Arab Youth Media Award. The Arab Media Forum on 27 May will present the Arab Media Award and recognise the Media Personality of the Year. The final day hosts the Arab Social Media Influencers Summit (ASMIS) with awards for influencers.

Mona Al Marri highlighted that this edition strengthens Dubai's role as a hub for media dialogue. She noted that artificial intelligence and digital innovation are reshaping content creation and consumption. The agenda offers insights into these changes affecting regional and global media landscapes.

Launch of New Initiatives

A Film and Gaming Forum will run alongside the Summit due to film and gaming's growing significance as creative drivers. This aligns with Dubai's emergence as a leader in these sectors across the Arab world.

Another highlight is launching the Arab Media Outlook 2025 report by Dubai Press Club. This annual report provides data-driven insights into trends transforming regional media industries, serving policymakers, investors, entrepreneurs, innovators, and professionals.

Prominent Speakers

The official opening on 27 May features keynote addresses by His Eminence Prof. Dr. Ahmed El-Tayeb of Al-Azhar and Nawaf Salam, Prime Minister of Lebanon. Discussions include Asaad Al Shaibani from Syria's Foreign Affairs Ministry and Dr Ghassan Salameh from Lebanon's Culture Ministry.

Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum will address ASMIS on media's role in algorithmic times. Dr Anwar Mohammed Gargash will discuss social media's impact on public communication strategies.

Academic Involvement

Dr Maitha Buhumaid emphasised academic involvement through sessions led by UAE University scholars among others. Over 300 speakers will participate in more than 175 sessions plus workshops conducted by leading global platforms like Google or Snapchat during this comprehensive programme designed for dialogue among industry leaders.

Maryam Al Mulla expressed gratitude towards strategic partners supporting AMS2025 while outlining key events hosted at DPC platform including masterclasses with international institutions such as Disney or TikTok alongside graduation ceremonies under Economic Content Creators Programme initiative launched jointly with Ministry Of Economy within broader Dubai Content Creators Programme framework.

Jasim Al Shemsi noted three award programmes reflecting commitment towards excellence: Ibda’a –Arab Youth Media Award;24th edition-Arab Media Award;fifth edition-Arab Social Media Influencers Award receiving thousands submissions showcasing engagement from students & academia highlighting Dubai’s influence shaping future through recognition encouragement opportunity provided via these awards initiatives fostering creativity innovation within sector itself ultimately benefiting wider community too!
