Arab Ministers Address Israeli Aggression

Prominent international figures attending include Hakan Fidan, Türkiye's Minister of Foreign Affairs; Josep Borrell, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy; Philippe Lazzarini, UN Under-Secretary-General and Commissioner-General of UNRWA; and Sigrid Kaag, UN Senior Humanitarian and Reconstruction Coordinator for Gaza.

The Council aims to address ways to stop ongoing Israeli aggression in Gaza and the West Bank. The focus will be on crimes committed by occupying forces against Palestinians over the past 11 months. These actions have led to martyrdom, injuries, and the loss of more than 145,000 Palestinian civilians.

The Council will discuss political, diplomatic, and legal measures to halt Israeli policies aimed at displacing Palestinians from their land. These policies are seen as grave violations of international humanitarian law and threats to Arab national security.

Additionally, the impact of these policies on peace opportunities in the region will be examined. The worsening conflict due to these actions is a significant concern for the Council.

During the meetings, there will be an emphasis on continuing support for Palestine's pursuit of full United Nations membership. This commitment underscores the importance placed on Palestinian statehood within the international community.

The session aims to strengthen international backing for Palestine amid ongoing conflicts. By addressing these critical issues, the Council hopes to foster a more stable and peaceful region.

This gathering highlights the collective efforts of Arab nations to address regional conflicts and support Palestinian rights. The involvement of prominent international figures underscores the global significance of these discussions.
