Arab Community Leaders Commend UAE’s Tolerance Model On International Day For Tolerance

Arab club and community leaders in the UAE have commended the nation's commitment to tolerance, which is evident in its laws, institutions, and cultural initiatives. These efforts are grounded in universal human values and have bolstered the UAE's role in fostering peaceful coexistence both regionally and globally. They highlighted this on the International Day for Tolerance, noting that despite diverse cultural and religious backgrounds, communities in the UAE enjoy security, stability, and social harmony.

Mohammad Al Massadeh, Director of the Jordanian Social Club in Dubai, emphasised that tolerance is a fundamental aspect of the UAE's national identity. He attributed this enduring legacy to the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. Al Massadeh noted that nearly 200 nationalities coexist peacefully under a robust legal framework upheld by the UAE's leadership. This environment has facilitated rapid progress through a blend of tolerance, goodwill, and adaptable laws within a diverse society.

UAE’s Tolerance Model Praised by Arab Leaders

Lutfi Hussein Ahmed, Chairman of the Board of Egyptian clubs in the UAE, described the country as offering a global model for coexistence. He pointed out that it was pioneering in establishing a ministry dedicated to promoting tolerance. Ahmed also highlighted ongoing legal and cultural initiatives aimed at combating discrimination and hatred. The Abrahamic Family House in Abu Dhabi stands as a symbol of interfaith harmony.

The Egyptian community feels at home in the UAE, participating actively in cultural, artistic, and social initiatives that foster shared respect and unity. Ahmed expressed appreciation for these opportunities to engage with diverse cultures while maintaining their own traditions.

Mohamed Baha Al Deen, Chairman of the Sudanese Club in Abu Dhabi, praised the UAE for creating a unique model of human coexistence based on values established by Sheikh Zayed. He noted that people from various cultures and nationalities live harmoniously in an environment that respects dignity and offers a sense of belonging.

Baha Al Deen expressed pride in the UAE’s approach to tolerance and gratitude towards its leadership for making it an everyday reality for all residents. This inclusive atmosphere has been instrumental in nurturing a community where everyone feels respected and valued.

The leaders' remarks underscore how deeply embedded tolerance is within the fabric of UAE society. This commitment not only enhances internal cohesion but also strengthens its international standing as a beacon of peaceful coexistence among nations with diverse backgrounds.
