AQU Commends Sharjah Ruler For Unprecedented Budget And Scholarships For Students

Jamal Al Turaifi, Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Al Qasimia University (AQU), expressed deep gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi. As the Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, he has consistently supported AQU. His Highness recently approved the largest budget in the university's history for the 2025–2026 academic year.

This significant budget approval highlights a commitment to empowering global youth by providing a comprehensive academic environment. The funds will support academic programmes, educational facilities, and infrastructure. Additionally, it will enhance scientific research and community service, ensuring a conducive learning and training atmosphere for students.

Al Turaifi commended His Highness for approving 500 scholarships for male and female students from various countries. These scholarships are available to those accepted into different faculties for the first semester of 2025–2026. This initiative underscores the university's dedication to fostering international diversity.

The university currently hosts students from 133 nationalities, showcasing its growing global reputation. The diverse student body thrives in an educational setting that values tolerance and multiculturalism. The colleges include Sharia and Islamic Studies, Arts and Humanities, Economics and Management, Communication, and Holy Quran.

Al Qasimia University has embarked on a new strategic plan for 2025–2030. This plan is founded on both national and international frameworks. It focuses on quality education, scientific research, student development, governance enhancement, community service, and industrial sector integration.

The strategic plan aims to position AQU as a globally recognised academic institution that embraces multiculturalism. It aligns with the launch of the College of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research. This vision seeks to establish AQU as a leading centre for higher education worldwide.

The university's efforts reflect its mission to provide an inclusive environment where students from diverse backgrounds can thrive academically.
