Apex Engineering Industries Announces AED 90 Million Investment For New Plant In KEZAD
Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi (KEZAD Group) and Apex Engineering Industries have signed a 50-year land lease agreement. This partnership will establish a cutting-edge facility in KEZAD Area A – Al Ma'mourah. The new plant, developed with an AED90 million investment by Apex Engineering, will produce industrial parts, components, machinery, and equipment for the oil and gas, locomotive, and defence sectors.
Mohamed Al Khadar Al Ahmed, CEO of KEZAD Group, stated, "The establishment of the new plant will be a welcome addition to our ecosystem of diverse industrial manufacturing companies driving sustained economic growth." He also mentioned that the project aligns with the UAE's strategic vision of diversifying its economy and becoming a global hub for innovation.

Spanning over 40,000 square metres, the facility will employ advanced engineering techniques to design and develop innovative systems. These systems will serve various sectors while ensuring all operations adhere to environmental protection commitments and sustainable business practices in KEZAD.
Nooruddin F. Daud, Partner at Apex Engineering Industries, commented on their plans: "Apex Engineering Industries LLC is pleased to set up our state-of-the-art engineering R&D and manufacturing facilities in Abu Dhabi. We aim to provide services to the oil and gas, locomotives, automotive, defence, and engineering sectors in the UAE."
The construction of this plant is expected to boost manufacturing for industries with large-scale operations. It will also position KEZAD as a prime hub for extensive industrial development. This agreement underscores AD Ports Group’s strategy to attract global manufacturing companies to drive economic growth.
Nooruddin F. Daud further elaborated on their existing capabilities: "We already have our plant and equipment installed for a unique material treatment process that enhances the lifecycle of metal wear parts like cutting tools, brake discs and gears, thereby providing economic benefits to our customers."
Business-Friendly Environment
The industry-enabling regulations and business-friendly environment provided by the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED), along with world-class facilities from KEZAD, make it an attractive location for setting up such facilities. This collaboration aims to contribute significantly to the engineering and manufacturing ecosystem in both Abu Dhabi and the broader UAE.
This new facility is set to propel KEZAD's reputation as a centre for large-scale industrial undertakings. It highlights KEZAD's commitment to fostering sustainable business practices while supporting economic diversification efforts in line with national strategic goals.
