AMMROC Secures Sikorsky Certification As First Black Hawk Blade MRO Centre Outside The U.S.
AMMROC has reached a pivotal achievement by receiving certification from Sikorsky, a Lockheed Martin company. This certification designates AMMROC as an authorised Depot Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul Center for Black Hawk helicopter Main Rotor and Tail Rotor Blades. This milestone highlights AMMROC's dedication to delivering top-tier MRO solutions to the UAE Air Force, regional armed forces, and international operators.
The strategic location of AMMROC at Al Ain International Airport enhances its ability to serve as a regional and global resource. Its proximity to Europe and Asia, along with advanced infrastructure, ensures fleet readiness with high-quality standards. The facility is uniquely positioned within the South Asia, Middle East, and North Africa (SAMENA) region.

The certification was presented to Jasem Al Marzooqi, CEO of AMMROC, by Dina Halvorsen, Sikorsky Black Hawk Sustainment Director. The ceremony took place at IDEX 2025 in Abu Dhabi. "This milestone also showcases AMMROC’s efforts to expand its scope of services," said Al Marzooqi. The facility includes a dedicated zone for Black Hawk sustainment and advanced repair capabilities.
AMMROC's facility features cutting-edge repair technologies such as X-ray inspection, non-destructive inspection (NDI), plastic media blasting, bonding, painting, and dynamic balancing. It houses the first Black Hawk Main Rotor Blade Whirl Stand outside the United States. These capabilities reinforce AMMROC’s position as a global centre of excellence.
The certification reflects AMMROC’s unwavering commitment to quality and innovation in aerospace and defence sustainment. The achievement was made possible through the dedicated efforts of its skilled team. Their commitment continues to set new benchmarks in the industry.

Future Developments
AMMROC has received authorisation for three out of 49 Black Hawk Line Replaceable Units (LRUs). It is actively working on fully activating its Black Hawk Rotors and Transmission shop. This development will significantly improve fleet availability and operational readiness for customers.
