Saudi Arabia: Almarai Introduces Post-Retirement Health Insurance for Employees

Almarai, leading food and beverage manufacturer and distributor in the Middle East, has taken a significant step towards supporting its workforce by partnering with the General Organization for Social Insurance (GOSI).

This collaboration aims to introduce the 'Health Insurance Extension’ service, designed specifically to allow Almarai employees to maintain their health insurance benefits into retirement. He detailed how this arrangement facilitates retirees' inclusion in Almarai's insurance policy at a manageable cost, offering the added advantage of spreading the insurance payment across twelve months. This initiative is designed to alleviate the financial strain associated with treatment and medical care for its retired workforce, ensuring they continue to receive coverage without the heavy burden of upfront costs.
