Al Salam Cycling Championship Reviews Preparations For Its 10th Edition With Key Race Dates Announced
The Supreme Organising Committee of the Al Salam Cycling Championship recently evaluated the preparations for its 10th edition. This event, held under the guidance of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, is organised by the Private Office of H.H. the Ruler of Dubai. Known globally for its diversity and prize value, it offers a total prize pool of AED3.5 million.
During a meeting with strategic partners like Dubai Police and Dubai Municipality, the Committee reviewed logistics for four main races. The focus was on ensuring participant safety and smooth traffic flow in key areas such as the Al Marmoom Desert Conservation Reserve, which is the UAE's largest unfenced nature reserve.

The championship attracts both professional and amateur cyclists from the UAE, GCC, and beyond. Key race dates include the UAE Nationals Amateur Race on 28th December 2025, Elite Race on 18th January 2026, Women’s Race on 25th January 2026, and Desert Race on 1st February 2026.
Mohammed Abdullah Al Mousa and Rami Bassam Al Nabulsi attended the meeting as members of the Supreme Committee. They discussed plans to enhance competitiveness among participants through carefully designed routes that promote optimal performance.
The Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum International Photography Award (HIPA) will again host a special photography competition for each race. Winners will be honoured at the championship's conclusion, continuing a successful partnership that enhances community engagement.
Mohammed Al Mousa conveyed greetings from Omer bin Jumaa Al Falasi, Director-General of the Private Office of H.H. the Ruler of Dubai. He thanked partners for their support in achieving sporting and community goals set by H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid.
A Decade of Achievements
This edition celebrates ten years under the theme ‘Ten Years of Achievements and Success’. It highlights a decade spent promoting cycling, encouraging healthy lifestyles, and showcasing Dubai’s unique landscapes.
The championship annually draws male and female cyclists from various countries who return to compete in Dubai's scenic routes. The event fosters skill improvement while offering a unique racing atmosphere across Dubai’s urban and natural settings.
The Supreme Organising Committee collaborates with strategic partners like Dubai Sports Council, Government of Dubai Media Office, Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services, UAE Cycling Federation (the general referee), and Dubai Film to ensure success.
