Al Ain Zoo Introduces Engaging Educational Programmes For Students To Explore Nature

Al Ain Zoo has launched a series of educational programmes for the 2025 academic year. These are aimed at students from kindergarten to grade 10, blending learning with exploration. The initiative seeks to ignite curiosity and foster a love for nature, turning education into an adventure that extends beyond traditional classrooms.

Schools can contact [email protected] to offer students a chance to learn in a living laboratory. Guided by enthusiastic educators, participants will engage with nature directly, enhancing both academic skills and environmental awareness. For younger students, activities like Sensory Safari and Animal Tales provide playful and imaginative interactions with nature.

Al Ain Zoo Launches New Educational Programmes

Kindergarten to grade 3 students can enjoy interactive puppet shows and hands-on experiences such as Little Ranger and Little Farmer. These activities encourage curiosity and help children connect with nature in fun ways. Students in grades 4 to 7 explore ecosystems and conservation challenges through programmes like Life in Balance and World of Birds.

The Desert Guardians challenge promotes teamwork, critical thinking, and biodiversity appreciation among these students. For older students in grades 8 to 10, advanced workshops focus on sustainable thinking and problem-solving. These sessions address global environmental issues, empowering students to create practical solutions based on sustainability principles.

Beyond structured programmes, guided tours of the Zoo, Sheikh Zayed Desert Learning Centre, and Al Ain Safari are available. Educators lead these tours with passion, bringing knowledge to life. Al Ain Zoo also continues its cultural and heritage programmes celebrating UAE traditions.

Students can delve into fossils and archaeology or participate in traditional games. They can try heritage crafts or engage in activities like Sahara Yadwah and the Desert Pharmacy. This diverse range of experiences transforms Al Ain Zoo into more than just a destination; it becomes an open-air classroom where learning through play is encouraged.

The zoo's offerings aim to nurture a lifelong commitment to environmental protection and sustainability promotion among students. By engaging with these programmes, students not only gain knowledge but also develop a deeper connection with nature.
