Al Ain Jiu-Jitsu Club Tops Medal Table On Day Two Of Khaled Bin Mohamed Bin Zayed Championship

Al Ain Jiu-Jitsu Club emerged as the leader in the medal tally on the second day of the Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Jiu-Jitsu Championship's final round. The event took place at Mubadala Arena in Abu Dhabi. Baniyas Jiu-Jitsu Club secured the second position, while Sharjah Self-Defence Sports Club came third. The focus was on Under-14 and Under-12 categories.

The championship drew several notable attendees. Among them were Mohamed Salem Al Dhaheri, Vice Chairman of the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation, and Dr. Ebrahim Saeed Al Hajri, President of Khalifa University of Science and Technology. Other dignitaries included Dr. Omniyat Al Hajeri from ADPHC and board members Mohammed bin Dalmouj Al Dhaheri and Mansour Al Dhaheri.

Al Ain Club Excels at Jiu-Jitsu Championship

Dr. Ebrahim Saeed Al Hajri emphasised the tournament's dedication to nurturing young talent. He stated, "What distinguishes Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Jiu-Jitsu Championship is its focus on younger age groups, which represent the future of the sport over the next decade." This approach highlights jiu-jitsu's growing appeal among youth.

Fahad Ali Al Shamsi, Secretary-General of UAEJJF, remarked on the importance of young athletes for jiu-jitsu's future in the UAE. He said, "The young athletes are the cornerstone of jiu-jitsu’s future in the UAE." Their impressive skills showcased discipline, teamwork, and resilience during their club representations.

The championship also highlighted leadership support in fostering young athletes' growth. Dr. Ebrahim Saeed Al Hajri noted that this backing is crucial for sports development in the country. It helps solidify its global standing, particularly in jiu-jitsu.

Fahad Ali Al Shamsi acknowledged clubs' efforts in preparing these athletes and praised families for their encouragement. He added that family support strengthens community bonds and plays a vital role in children's success.

The event was attended by representatives from various partners and participating clubs and academies. Notable figures included Mansour Al Ketbi from Mubadala Investment Company and Dr. Amer Al Ameri from Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank.

This championship not only celebrated young talent but also underscored community involvement in sports development. The commitment to nurturing future generations ensures a strong foundation for jiu-jitsu's growth in the UAE.
