Ajman Tourism Eyes Growth In Tourist Numbers From CIS Countries

The Ajman Tourism Development Department has initiated a promotional tour across the CIS, led by Mahmood Khaleel Alhashmi, its Director-General. This tour, running from 14th to 21st September, aims to strengthen ties with tourism representatives from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Azerbaijan to attract more tourists to Ajman.

Ajman is experiencing a notable rise in tourists from CIS countries. Visitor numbers have surged by 12 percent, and nightly accommodations have also increased by 12 percent. Hotel occupancy rates have risen by 3 percent, and room revenues have grown by 5 percent compared to the previous year.

Ajman Targets CIS Tourists

The promotional tour includes stops in Almaty, Tashkent, and Baku. During these visits, the Department is showcasing Ajman's latest tourist destinations and new projects designed to enhance its status as a global tourist hub. The focus is on highlighting Ajman's rich heritage and ongoing transformation into a unique cultural and tourist destination within the UAE.

Alhashmi stated, "The key goal of the promotional tour is to enhance Ajman’s position as a leading tourist destination at a regional and global scale. Our visit to the CIS is aimed at deepening strategic relations with our key partners and further exploring newer avenues for cooperation and exchange of expertise."

The tour's primary objectives include raising international awareness about Ajman's unique tourist offerings and educating the global market on what makes Ajman special. Additionally, it seeks to strengthen collaborations with international partners, fostering new opportunities for cooperation and knowledge sharing.
