Ajman Ruler Urges International Charity Organisation To Intensify Humanitarian Work In Syria
H.H. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Ruler of Ajman and a Supreme Council Member, has instructed the International Charity Organisation (ICO) to enhance its humanitarian efforts in Syria. This decision comes in response to the challenging conditions impacting numerous regions there.
The Ruler of Ajman met with Dr. Khalid Abdulwahab Al Khaja, Secretary-General of the ICO, and his team at the Royal Court. During this meeting, they discussed the organisation's initiatives across various humanitarian sectors. These programmes aim to support those enduring difficult circumstances in Syria and aid refugees and displaced individuals in other countries.

H.H. Sheikh Humaid expressed the UAE's unwavering solidarity with the Syrian people. He emphasised the nation's commitment to providing all possible assistance to alleviate their suffering during these challenging times. The UAE's leadership and citizens have a longstanding tradition of offering support in times of crisis.
This compassionate approach is rooted in the legacy of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. He was known for extending help to countries affected by disasters and conflicts worldwide. The current leadership continues this tradition by supporting those in need.
The ICO has recently undertaken several humanitarian projects in Syria under Ajman's ruler's guidance. These initiatives include distributing food parcels, Eid clothing, and wheelchairs for people of determination. Additionally, they assessed war-affected areas' needs, focusing on well maintenance, school renovations, solar energy projects, and more.
Dr. Khalid Al Khaja expressed gratitude for Ajman's ruler's directives, highlighting their reflection of wise leadership deeply committed to humanitarian causes. He noted that supporting those in need remains central to strengthening the organisation’s mission and leadership.
The ICO continues its efforts in relief and development by providing food aid and delivering health and educational services. These activities are crucial for addressing immediate needs while fostering long-term resilience among affected communities.
The UAE's ongoing support for Syria exemplifies its dedication to humanitarian principles. By intensifying relief efforts through organisations like ICO, it aims to bring hope and assistance to those facing adversity.
