Ajman Chamber And Irish Embassy Enhance Investment Cooperation To Boost Economic Growth

Salem Al Suwaidi, Director General of Ajman Chamber, recently welcomed Alison Milton, the Irish Ambassador to the UAE. Their meeting aimed to enhance economic cooperation and explore investment opportunities in sectors like education, health, tourism, agriculture, IT, and food. This initiative reflects Ajman Chamber's commitment to fostering international partnerships for economic growth.

Al Suwaidi emphasised the strong diplomatic ties between the UAE and Ireland. He noted that this meeting is part of Ajman Chamber's ongoing efforts to build partnerships and boost international cooperation. This approach is intended to drive economic development in Ajman.

Ajman and Ireland Boost Investment Cooperation

The discussion highlighted Ajman's key sectors, with a special focus on education. Al Suwaidi explained how the educational sector benefits from leadership support and an integrated infrastructure. This aligns with Ajman's vision to develop human capital that meets the emirate’s goals while enhancing its appeal.

Opportunities for collaboration in education were also discussed. Al Suwaidi invited Ireland to participate in the 2025 edition of the Ajman International Education and Training Exhibition (AETEX). The healthcare sector was another focal point, showcasing initiatives aimed at improving medical services and attracting investments through innovation.

Ambassador Milton expressed Ireland’s dedication to strengthening ties with the UAE. She praised Ajman's diverse economic opportunities, particularly in education, healthcare, and agriculture. The Irish delegation showed interest in participating in AETEX's upcoming edition.

The meeting concluded with recommendations for organising joint forums. These would facilitate expertise exchange and best practices in small and medium enterprises (SMEs). Attendees also stressed exploring partnerships in agriculture, real estate, construction, IT, and food industries.

Strengthening Partnerships

The importance of sharing information and statistics was highlighted to support joint development efforts. To mark the occasion, Al Suwaidi and Milton exchanged trophies and souvenirs as symbols of their growing partnership.

The meeting included Khalid Al Shamsi from Ajman's Studies and Investment Development Sector, Aisha Al Nuaimi from the Investment and Business Promotion Department, John Ford from the Irish Embassy, along with other officials from both sides.
