Ajman Hosts Race 2 Of Emirates Villages Run Series To Promote Community Wellness And Unity

Masfout in Ajman recently hosted the second race of the Emirates Villages Run Series (EVRS). This event, part of the Year of Community's initiatives, aims to promote wellness and unity. It is held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who is the Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development and Fallen Heroes’ Affairs and Chairman of the Emirates Council for Balanced Development.

The EVRS, organised as part of the Year of Community 2025, is sponsored by ADNOC. It collaborates with the Emirates Council for Balanced Development, sports councils, municipalities, and tourism authorities across the UAE. The Ajman race attracted participants from various age groups, including people of determination, showcasing national cohesion and community spirit.

Ajman Hosts Race 2 of Emirates Villages Run

The event celebrated winners in three categories: 1.5km, 5km, and 10km races. Mohammed Khalifa Al Kaabi, Secretary General of the Emirates Council for Balanced Development; Mohammed Abdullah Al Kaabi, Executive Director of the Media Office of Ajman Government; along with other officials from sports councils and tourism authorities attended to crown the victors.

This initiative encourages healthy living and broader community involvement in sports. The races are inclusive, welcoming families, women, youth, senior citizens, people of determination, schools, companies, and sports clubs. They provide a safe environment for all participants to engage in physical activities.

The announcement that Masfout was named one of the world's Best Tourism Villages by the World Tourism Organisation (UN Tourism) added significance to this event. This recognition was made during a special ceremony in Huzhou City, China.

The EVRS not only promotes fitness but also fosters a sense of belonging and cooperation within Emirati society. By bringing together diverse groups under a common cause, it highlights deep-rooted engagement in community activities.
