Ajman Crown Prince Celebrates Graduation Of 561 Students From Gulf Medical University

Under the auspices of H.H. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, H.H. Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman, attended the 21st graduation ceremony of Gulf Medical University. The event took place at Thumbay Medicity in Ajman and celebrated 561 graduates. Sheikh Rashid bin Hamid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of Ajman Municipality & Planning Department, was also present.

H.H. Sheikh Ammar praised the UAE leadership's continuous support for higher education institutions. He highlighted that President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum have made education a cornerstone of the nation's development. This commitment aligns with the UAE's limitless aspirations and ambitions.

The Gulf Medical University was commended by H.H. Sheikh Ammar for its academic success and high standards in medical fields. He thanked the university’s management, faculty, staff, and technical teams for their dedication. He emphasised that learning should be a lifelong pursuit to achieve professional excellence.

Dr. Thumbay Moideen, founder and President of the Thumbay Group, expressed gratitude to Ajman's leadership for their support. He noted that Gulf Medical University is entering its 27th year as a milestone in private health education in the region. The Thumbay network serves around 11 million patients through hospitals, clinics, pharmacies, and labs.

H.H. Sheikh Ammar encouraged graduates to use their knowledge from Gulf Medical University to contribute to community development. "Learning should be a lifelong pursuit," he stated, urging them to continue their educational journey for professional excellence.

The university announced that it has now graduated 4,124 students overall. This year's cohort included 207 from Medicine, 78 from Dentistry, 47 from Pharmacy, 151 from Health Sciences, 50 from Nursing, and 28 from Business Administration and AI in Healthcare.

Support for Graduates

Professor Hossam Hamdy advised graduates to uphold university values and mentioned that Gulf Medical University would prioritise them for training and employment opportunities. The university offers 35 programs across various levels and collaborates with global research institutions on cancer immunology and infectious diseases research.

At the ceremony's end, H.H. Sheikh Ammar awarded degrees alongside Dr. Thumbay Moideen and received a commemorative plaque from him. Several government and private entities were honoured for their collaboration with the university.

Afterward, H.H. Sheikh Ammar met Emirati graduates to reaffirm his support for distinguished students' continued success. He encouraged them to pursue further academic achievements to fulfil both personal aspirations and those of the UAE.
