Aisha Al Shamsi Takes Role As Secretary-General Of Sharjah International Award For Cultural Heritage
H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, led the Sharjah Executive Council's (SEC) weekly meeting. The gathering took place at the Ruler’s Office and included H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi and H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, both Deputy Rulers of Sharjah and Vice Chairmen of the SEC.
The council reviewed various government-related topics, including performance reports from different departments and authorities. They were updated on the progress in developing government services and efforts to improve the quality of life for citizens and residents across the emirate.
A presentation by the Higher Committee for Economic Integration was examined by the council. It highlighted efforts to develop Sharjah's economy through collaboration with relevant entities. The committee aims to propose economic initiatives that boost GDP growth, increase economic awareness, and provide strategic economic data analysis.
Key indicators of Sharjah’s economy were discussed, emphasising their role in maintaining sustained growth. Opportunities to further develop these indicators were also explored to enhance services for investors, aligning with strategic plans covering diverse economic sectors.
The council reviewed results from the Emirate of Sharjah's visual identity campaign (2023–2025), which focused on culture, entertainment, and economy. This campaign attracted millions of views, increased investment interest, improved perceptions, boosted website visits, and enhanced adoption of the visual identity at events in partnership with government entities.
The new advertising plan was also presented, focusing on sustainability and well-being, education and knowledge, as well as culture and arts. Key initiatives within this strategic framework aim to reach broader audiences and expand the campaign’s regional scope, strengthening Sharjah’s visual identity.
Appointment in Cultural Heritage
The council appointed Aisha Rashid Al Hasan Al Shamsi as Secretary-General of the Sharjah International Award for Cultural Heritage (SIACH), alongside her current duties. Her responsibilities include proposing strategic plans for the award, overseeing coordination and administration, conducting marketing activities, promoting awareness about the award's objectives, receiving nominations, coordinating with judging committees, organising launch ceremonies, preparing agendas for meetings with trustees, and performing other assigned tasks.
The council also discussed several other government-related topics during this meeting. These discussions aimed at enhancing service quality across various sectors within the emirate.
