AIM Congress: A Key Global Platform For Shaping The Future Of Investment, Says Thani Al Zeyoudi
Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, the UAE's Minister of State for Foreign Trade and President of AIM Congress, highlighted the significance of hosting the AIM Congress in Abu Dhabi. This event underscores the UAE's role as a key global hub for foreign direct investment (FDI) and trade. It also exemplifies how foreign investments contribute to sustainable growth and comprehensive development.
The announcement was made during a press conference at the Emirates News Agency (WAM) theatre in Abu Dhabi. The event introduced partners for the 14th edition of AIM Congress 2025, attended by government officials, ambassadors, international organisation representatives, and media from around the world.
Al Zeyoudi attributed the UAE's investment appeal to its visionary leadership. He stated that this leadership has consistently prioritised opening up commercially and enhancing investment opportunities globally. This approach has bolstered the country's business environment, strengthened its ties to global supply chains, and advanced industrial and technological capabilities.
The minister noted that these efforts have positioned the UAE among the top destinations for investment both regionally and globally. According to a United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) report, FDI inflows into the UAE increased by 35% in 2023, reaching AED 112.6 billion.
Al Zeyoudi emphasised that AIM Congress serves as a significant global platform for investors, policymakers, and business leaders. It facilitates the exchange of insights, ideas, and successful experiences in shaping future global investments.
The congress has successfully established long-term partnerships with over 330 institutions from both public and private sectors worldwide. These collaborations offer innovative solutions and promising investment opportunities, reinforcing AIM Congress's status as a leading event in the investment sector.
Future Prospects
Looking ahead to AIM Congress 2025, Al Zeyoudi expressed optimism about new investment projects and partnerships emerging from the event. He believes these initiatives will further drive economic growth and sustainable development in the region.
The congress is expected to continue playing a pivotal role in fostering international cooperation and attracting investments that contribute to broader economic objectives.
