AIM Congress 2025 To Showcase Latest Trends In Foreign Direct Investment And Global Trade
The 14th AIM Congress is scheduled for 7th to 9th April, 2025, at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre. The event will explore "Mapping the Future of Global Investment: The New Wave of a Globalised Investment Landscape - Towards a New Balanced World Structure." Over 25,000 participants from 180 countries are expected to attend.
AIM Congress will delve into the latest foreign direct investment (FDI) and international trade trends. Discussions will address regulatory changes, geopolitical tensions, and emerging market dynamics. The goal is to understand factors shaping global investment and develop strategies to leverage FDI and trade for economic growth.

FDI and Global Trade are central themes at AIM Congress 2025. These areas have an integrative relationship, with international trade facilitating FDI by expanding markets and boosting production. This results in increased capital flows, technology transfer, job creation, and knowledge sharing.
The FDI portfolio will focus on "Navigating the Future of FDI: Overcoming Challenges, Seizing New Global Opportunities." It will cover economic growth, sustainable investment, market expansion, and diversification of investment partners.
The Global Trade portfolio is themed "Digitising the International Trade & the Sustainability and Transparency of Global Supply Chains." It aims to share expertise on digitizing trade processes while enhancing supply chain sustainability and transparency. Emphasis will be on reducing environmental impacts.
Despite economic challenges, global trade has shown resilience. A recovery in goods trade volumes is anticipated in 2024 and 2025 due to rising consumer demand and improved income prospects in advanced economies.
Engagement Activities at AIM Congress
AIM Congress 2025 offers diverse activities like exhibitions, panel discussions, keynote speeches, workshops, bilateral meetings, and awards. These aim to engage industry players, policymakers, business partners, and investors in collaborative partnerships to shape future investments.
The agenda includes events such as forums, dialogue sessions, high-level meetings, AIM Investment Awards and Exhibition. There will also be a startups competition showcasing country-specific investment opportunities across eight portfolios: FDI, Global Trade, Startups and Unicorns, Future Cities, Future Finance, Global Manufacturing, Digital Economy, and Entrepreneurs.
