AIM Congress 2025 Hosts TradeTech Forum On April 8 To Discuss Technology's Impact On Global Trade
The World Economic Forum (WEF) will host the second edition of the TradeTech Forum at the AIM Congress on 8th April 2025. This event will coincide with the ongoing AIM Congress and is expected to attract over 400 prominent trade leaders and experts. The forum aims to explore how technology can reshape global trade and investment.
The theme for this year's forum, "TradeTech Transition: Evaluating the Present, Envisioning the Future," will unite innovators, policymakers, and global leaders. The agenda includes plenary sessions with industry experts, interactive workshops, and networking opportunities designed to provide attendees with actionable insights.

Dr. Thani Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of State for Foreign Trade, highlighted the transformative potential of technology in global supply chains. He stated that technology can create opportunities for less developed countries and small enterprises to participate more effectively in global trade while enhancing security and transparency.
"Technology can revolutionise global supply chains at every stage, creating opportunities to expand international trade. It enables less developed countries and small and medium-sized enterprises to participate more effectively and fairly in the global trading system, while enhancing security and transparency," said Dr. Al Zeyoudi.
Ahmed Jasim Al Zaabi, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development, emphasised Abu Dhabi's role as a key player in international supply chains. He noted that Abu Dhabi continues to develop trade facilitation solutions using advanced technologies like AI and blockchain to promote free and fair trade.
"As a key node on international supply chains and a global magnet for talents, businesses, investments, Abu Dhabi continues to develop trade facilitation solutions, and employ advanced technologies and methods such as AI and Blochian to enable free and fair trade and exchange of goods, services, and innovations," stated Al Zaabi.
Comprehensive Agenda for Attendees
The forum's agenda includes a variety of multi-disciplinary sessions starting with the TradeTech Face-Off breakfast debate. This engaging session will feature two contrasting visions on TradeTech's future, encouraging attendees to choose their stance on what lies ahead for TradeTech.
Throughout the day, plenary panels will discuss topics like smart customs powered by AI as explored in the latest report "Artificial Intelligence for Efficiency, Sustainability and Inclusivity in TradeTech." Other discussions will cover outcomes from the 2025 TradeTech Report and regulatory sandbox results in trade finance.
