AIM Congress 2025 In Abu Dhabi To Address Global Investment Trends And Opportunities

The UAE is preparing to host the 14th AIM Congress, scheduled from 7th to 9th April at the ADNEC Centre in Abu Dhabi. This event will focus on "Mapping the Future of Global Investment: The New Wave of a Globalised Investment Landscape - Towards a New Balanced World Structure." It aims to highlight the UAE's role as a key player in global investment.

Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of State for Foreign Trade and President of AIM Congress, stated, "AIM Congress is a leading global platform that brings together decision-makers, business leaders, investors and government officials to discuss economic developments and explore new opportunities that drive sustainable economic growth. The congress also plays a crucial role in fostering strategic partnerships that reshape the future of trade and investment globally, in accordance with the rapid changes in the global economy."

The congress will see participation from presidents, over 60 ministers and central-bank governors, 30 city mayors, 1,250 speakers, 16 representatives from global financial markets, and 600 exhibitors. This highlights its importance as a premier investment platform. The UAE's favourable business environment makes it an attractive destination for international investments aimed at growth and expansion.

AIM Congress draws around 20,000 participants from 180 countries. They gather to examine current trends in global investment, tackle challenges, enhance collaboration, and develop solutions for a balanced global economy. The event underscores the UAE's status as one of the world's top investor nations.

The congress will feature various events like forums, panel discussions, workshops, high-level meetings, exhibitions, AIM Investment Awards, Startup Pitch Competition, AI World Championship, country investment destinations, AIM Business Incubator and AIM Investment Fund. These activities aim to foster dialogue on economic growth and innovation.

Panel discussions will cover eight portfolios: Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), Global Trade, Startups and Unicorns, Future Cities, Future Finance, Global Manufacturing, Digital Economy and Entrepreneurs. These discussions will address diverse sectors such as intelligent agriculture and energy.

Focus on Innovation and Technology

Dr. Al Zeyoudi highlighted that hosting major international events reinforces the UAE's role as a global hub for trade. He noted that flexible policies have bolstered foreign trade success. He stressed innovation's importance in advancing investments through technology while maintaining sustainability.

The congress will explore sectors including infrastructure finance and capital markets ICT manufacturing medical tourism biotechnology medical technology pharmaceuticals international trade logistics transportation water technology tourism education. These areas are crucial for shaping future economic landscapes.
