AI's Role In Shaping The Future: Insights From The Egyptian Senate

TRENDS Research & Advisory recently organised a panel discussion featuring Counselor Abdel Wahab Abdel Razek, President of the Egyptian Senate, alongside several Senate leaders and committee undersecretaries. The event underscored the critical role of research in legislative support, the influence of think tanks in combating extremist ideologies, and the significance of AI research in shaping future knowledge-driven progress.

The session took place at the Egyptian Senate headquarters in Cairo as part of TRENDS' activities during its fourth participation in the Cairo International Book Fair. The gathering included senators, sector heads, experts, and department directors from TRENDS. Counselor Abdel Wahab Abdel Razek welcomed the TRENDS delegation and praised their intellectual and research contributions, especially in AI and advanced technology.

Counselor Abdel Wahab Abdel Razek emphasised that AI technologies are pivotal for future development. He noted that think tanks and research institutions are essential for maximising AI's benefits, fostering innovation, and driving technological progress.
