AI-Generated Film Award Shines On Nasdaq Tower In New York’s Times Square

The AI-Generated Film Award, organised by the 1 Billion Followers Summit and Google Gemini, was prominently displayed on the Nasdaq Tower in Times Square, New York City. This initiative is part of a global campaign for the award, valued at US$1 million. It aims to enhance the Summit's international presence and highlight creative talent in technology, arts, and culture worldwide.

The announcement on the Nasdaq screen targets business leaders, investors, celebrities, and creative content creators globally. It underscores the award's importance to numerous visitors in one of the world's most recognised locations. The UAE plays a crucial role as a hub for innovative cultural and economic activities.

AI Film Award Lights Up Nasdaq Tower

Khadija Hussain, Executive Director of Government Communication at the UAE Government Media Office and deputy CEO of the 1 Billion Followers Summit, stated: "Showcasing the AI-Generated Film Award on the iconic Nasdaq Tower in New York is a step that enriches the global creative landscape, opening the door for talented content creators from around the world to participate, pursue their dreams, and build their own projects in innovation, artificial intelligence and purposeful, creative content creation."

The 1 Billion Followers Summit is dedicated to the content creation economy. Organised by the UAE Government Media Office, it announced its fourth edition will feature this significant award for the first time. The event will occur in Dubai from 9th to 11th January 2026 at Emirates Towers, Dubai International Financial Centre, and Museum of the Future under "Content for Good."

The award has attracted unprecedented interest with over 16,380 submissions from around 73 countries. Entries include 5,952 from the Middle East, 3,777 from Asia, 3,455 from North Africa, 1,386 from Europe, 1,024 from the US, and 790 from other regions. More than 17.8 million people engaged with this announcement.

This initiative supports creating meaningful films using Google's AI models like Gemini. It aims to raise awareness of humanitarian messages while enhancing artistic vision among global content creators.

Summit Expectations

This edition will host over 400 global speakers with a combined social media following exceeding three billion. The Summit expects more than 30,000 attendees including over 15,000 content creators from more than 140 countries.

The AI-Generated Film Award not only highlights creativity but also strengthens international collaboration within content creation industries. This initiative showcases how technology can drive artistic expression while promoting humanitarian values globally.
