The Leadership Summit's opening sessions featured a keynote by Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Vice Chairman of the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy. He outlined plans for making the UAE's grid one of the cleanest globally by 2030 through renewable projects in Abu Dhabi and Dubai. This aligns with efforts to enhance reliance on renewable and clean energy sources.

Mark Ring, Group Director at Informa Markets, stated that this year's event provides a crucial platform for securing stability and identifying new opportunities in the energy sector. "The next three days will feature key discussions...all of which are critical to navigating how market dynamics, AI, and Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs) will help in achieving the global energy market’s goals for a sustainable future," he said.

The Battery Show is running alongside Middle East Energy 2025, featuring a three-day conference on government-industry partnerships to boost green mobility adoption. More than 40,000 global professionals are expected at DWTC before April 9 to explore innovations from over 90 countries across various sectors like power generation and smart grid technologies.

H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed noted that hosting Middle East Energy for the 49th year reflects international confidence in Dubai as a strategic centre for conferences and exhibitions. It reinforces Dubai's role in leading global dialogue on energy security and sustainability.

The event spans sixteen halls with seventeen international pavilions showcasing solutions across the full energy value chain. These include power generation, storage, clean mobility, and smart grid technologies.

The ongoing organisation of Middle East Energy highlights its significance in supporting sustainable transitions while enhancing Dubai’s position as an innovation hub. The event continues to attract international attention due to its strategic importance in discussing global energy security and sustainability challenges.
