Ahmed Bin Saeed Celebrates MBRU Graduation Ceremony For Class Of 2025 In Dubai

The graduation ceremony for the Class of 2025 at Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences (MBRU) took place at the Dubai World Trade Centre. H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Health, attended the event. The ceremony celebrated 164 graduates from various programmes, including the first cohort from Dubai’s only Biomedical Sciences PhD programme.

H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed expressed his congratulations to the graduates and their families. He highlighted the university's role in enhancing the healthcare sector by developing skilled professionals committed to positive community change. Dr. Raja Easa Al Gurg, Chairperson of MBRU Council, remarked on the pride felt with this new class of graduates. She noted that since its inception nine years ago, MBRU has consistently worked towards empowering young talents and nurturing future leaders in healthcare under H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum's directives.

Professor Alawi Al-Sheikh Ali, Director General of the Dubai Health Authority (DHA), addressed attendees as a guest of honour. He emphasised that investing in human development is a long-standing tradition in the UAE, dating back to when Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan prioritised building people over infrastructure.

During his speech, Professor Dr. Alawi shared messages with graduates about compassion being central to healthcare. He urged them to lead with humility and remain open to learning. Integrity and generosity were highlighted as key values for measuring one's worth.

Dr. Amer Sharif, CEO of Dubai Health and President of MBRU, celebrated the graduation of new physicians and healthcare professionals nurtured within an integrated academic health system. He expressed pride in their achievements and confidence in their ability to impact healthcare positively.

On behalf of her fellow graduates, Dr. Sarah Tahlak addressed the audience during the ceremony.
