ADSB Collaborates With OSI Maritime Systems To Upgrade RABDAN FA-400 With Advanced Navigation Technology

Abu Dhabi Ship Building (ADSB), part of EDGE Group, has entered into a strategic partnership with OSI Maritime Systems. This collaboration focuses on the design, construction, repair, and conversion of naval and commercial vessels. The agreement was formalised by David Massey, CEO of ADSB, and Jim Hawkins, Director of Business Development at OSI, during the EURONAVAL 2024 Exhibition in Paris.

The RABDAN FA-400 is ADSB’s latest fast attack vessel. It measures 45 metres and is designed for various territorial and coastal operations. The partnership aims to integrate OSI Maritime’s Integrated Navigation Bridge System into this vessel's existing systems to enhance its operational capabilities across multiple warfare domains.

ADSB and OSI Maritime Enhance RABDAN FA-400

David Massey expressed that the agreement with OSI equips the RABDAN FA-400 with advanced navigational systems. He stated, "ADSB’s agreement with OSI equips the RABDAN FA-400 with cutting-edge navigational systems, reinforcing our drive to build highly competitive vessels and equip our fleet for the demands of today’s maritime landscape." This partnership supports ADSB's goal of creating UAE-made vessels with world-class systems.

Ken Kirkpatrick from OSI Maritime highlighted the benefits of integrating their technology into ADSB's vessel. He noted, "Integrating OSI’s advanced navigation technology into ADSB’s RABDAN FA-400 will significantly elevate its operational capabilities across diverse warfare domains." This integration aims to position the vessel at the forefront of modern maritime defence solutions.

The newly equipped RABDAN FA-400 will be showcased at the Naval Defence Exhibition & Conference (NAVDEX) in Abu Dhabi from 17th to 21st February 2025. This event will provide an opportunity to demonstrate the enhanced capabilities resulting from this strategic collaboration between ADSB and OSI Maritime Systems.

This partnership not only strengthens ADSB's fleet but also underscores its commitment to excellence on a global scale. By integrating advanced technologies into their vessels, ADSB aims to meet contemporary maritime challenges effectively while showcasing UAE's growing prowess in naval engineering.
