ADNOC And Gecko Robotics Forge Three Key Agreements To Enhance AI And Robotics In Operations

ADNOC and Gecko Robotics have expanded their collaboration with three new agreements to integrate robotics and artificial intelligence (AI) into ADNOC’s operations. These agreements aim to enhance efficiency, reduce downtime, and support data-driven maintenance. They were signed at the ENACT Majlis in Abu Dhabi and include technology deployment for ADNOC Gas, joint training programs with the ADNOC Technical Academy (ATA), and the implementation of robotics and AI-powered analytics across ADNOC’s assets.

AIQ, a joint venture between ADNOC and Presight, has entered into a multi-year partnership with Gecko Robotics. This agreement involves deploying the Cantilever operating system across ADNOC Gas’ assets, marking AIQ's entry into robotics. Another agreement focuses on exploring advanced robotics and AI-powered analytics for broader applications within ADNOC's operations. This includes potential manufacturing of robotic systems in the UAE.

ADNOC Partners with Gecko Robotics for AI Initiatives

The third agreement involves collaboration between Gecko Robotics and ATA to develop training programs. These initiatives aim to empower UAE Nationals by equipping them with future skills necessary for the evolving energy sector. The training will focus on enhancing local talent's capabilities in using advanced technologies like AI and robotics.

Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, Managing Director and Group Chief Executive Officer of ADNOC, emphasized the importance of these agreements. He stated: "ADNOC is harnessing the power of AI and advanced technology to transform the way we work, driving greater efficiency, safety and performance across our operations."

Dr. Al Jaber further highlighted that these agreements are part of ADNOC's journey to become a leading AI-enabled energy company. By accelerating robotics deployment and empowering local talent, ADNOC aims to strengthen the UAE’s position as a global hub for energy innovation.

Jake Loosararian, CEO of Gecko Robotics, shared his insights on the strategic partnership: "There is a race to lead the AI and energy moment. And the energy companies that win won't just utilize technology, they will become technology companies." He praised Dr. Sultan Al Jaber for his visionary leadership in this field.

The collaboration between ADNOC and Gecko Robotics signifies a significant step towards integrating cutting-edge technologies into traditional energy operations. By focusing on both technological advancements and skill development, these agreements aim to position ADNOC at the forefront of innovation in the energy sector.
