ADNOC And AIQ Accelerate Deployment Of AR360 AI Solution Across Over 30 Reservoirs
ADNOC has expanded the use of AIQ's Advanced Reservoir 360 (AR360) solution to over 30 reservoirs within its upstream operations. This follows a successful initial deployment in early 2024 at Bab and Umm Shaif fields. AR360, developed by AIQ with SLB under ADNOC's ENERGYai strategy, employs artificial intelligence and machine learning to enhance reservoir management and optimise field development planning.
AR360 is designed to streamline planning processes while extending well life and improving recovery rates. It achieves this by balancing new well drilling, enhancing existing well performance, and optimising injection and production volumes. This integration reflects ADNOC's commitment to leveraging AI and advanced technologies for maximising resource value.

Abdulmunim Saif Al Kindy, ADNOC Upstream Executive Director, stated, "The integration of AR360 across more of our reservoirs is a testament to our success in harnessing AI and advanced technologies to unlock more value from our natural resources. Building on decades of investment in innovation and technology, we will continue to accelerate the deployment of AI solutions from the control room to the boardroom as we responsibly meet the growing global energy demand."
Magzhan Kenesbai, Acting Managing Director of AIQ, highlighted the significance of AR360's broader deployment by ADNOC. He said it underscores AIQ's role as an emerging global AI provider for the energy sector. Kenesbai emphasised their dedication to enhancing operational efficiencies across the energy value chain, particularly in upstream operations.
Traditional forecasting methods often involve multiple software platforms and data sets, which can be cumbersome. In contrast, AR360 consolidates these elements into a single platform using AI. This integration not only saves time but also facilitates more informed and proactive decision-making.
ADNOC has implemented over 30 AI tools across various levels of its operations. These tools aim to improve safety, reduce emissions, optimise efficiency, and maximise overall value from their resources.
The ongoing deployment of AR360 signifies ADNOC's strategic focus on digital transformation within the energy sector. By integrating advanced technologies like AI into their operations, they aim to meet increasing global energy demands responsibly while unlocking greater industry value.
