ADNOC Abu Dhabi Marathon 2024 Achieves Bronze Award For Fan Solutions At Leaders Conference In London

The ADNOC Abu Dhabi Marathon 2024 has been awarded the Bronze Award in the "Fan Solution Category" at the Leaders sports leadership conference in London. This accolade highlights the event's success in enhancing spectator experiences and fostering community involvement, solidifying its reputation as a premier running event both regionally and globally.

Since its inception, the marathon has been organised annually by the Abu Dhabi Sports Council in collaboration with ADNOC. It has grown into a key sporting event in the capital, drawing participants from across the UAE and internationally. The 2024 edition saw over 33,000 runners, including elite athletes, amateurs, and families, participating in various race formats ranging from full marathons to recreational runs.

The recent marathon focused on inclusivity, innovation, and sustainability. Initiatives were introduced to reduce plastic waste and manage environmental sustainability while monitoring carbon footprints. Talal Mustafa Al Hashemi, Executive Director of Events Sector at the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, expressed pride in receiving this global recognition. He stated that it marks a significant milestone for sport in Abu Dhabi. "We are proud that the ADNOC Abu Dhabi Marathon has been recognised at the sports leadership conference," he said.
