ADNEC Group Joins Forces With Tadweer To Elevate Sustainable Waste Practices

In a significant move towards enhancing sustainability and waste management, ADNEC Group has entered into a strategic partnership with Tadweer Group through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This collaboration aims to introduce comprehensive waste management systems, promote sustainable practices, and leverage waste value through various initiatives and technologies. The agreement encompasses the deployment of Recycling Vending Machines (RVM) and the Tadweer Rewards system, alongside the implementation of food waste processing techniques such as waste masters and anaerobic digesters.

Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri, Managing Director and Group CEO of ADNEC Group, highlighted the partnership's alignment with the UAE's sustainability objectives and national strategies. This collaboration is set to bolster recycling and reduction efforts across multiple sectors, in line with the vision of the UAE's leadership. Ali Al Dhaheri, Managing Director and CEO of Tadweer Group, echoed this sentiment, expressing enthusiasm for fostering a circular economy and encouraging community-wide behavioural change towards recycling.

ADNEC & Tadweer Enhance Eco Waste Solutions

The initiative is part of ADNEC Group's broader commitment to sustainability, demonstrated by its recent accolade - the Sheikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Environmental Award in February 2024. This award recognises the Group's efforts in advancing environmental sustainability across its operations, in harmony with Abu Dhabi's vision to be a global leader in this area. ADNEC Group's sustainability pledge includes achieving a net-zero carbon footprint for events by 2050, testing and implementing food waste reduction strategies in collaboration with Ne’ma, eliminating single-use plastic bottles, digitalising operations to reduce paper use, and expanding recycling efforts.

This partnership between ADNEC Group and Tadweer Group represents a significant step forward in the UAE's journey towards sustainable development. By focusing on innovative solutions for waste management and recycling, these organisations are setting a precedent for responsible environmental stewardship in the business and leisure tourism sector. The collaboration not only supports the UAE’s net-zero targets but also encourages the adoption of sustainable practices among communities, contributing to a greener future.
