ADJD Showcases Legal Insights For Sports At Abu Dhabi's ADIHEX 2024

The Abu Dhabi Judicial Department (ADJD) is participating in the 21st Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (ADIHEX 2024), scheduled from 31st August to 8th September 2024. The Department's pavilion aims to enhance legal awareness related to hunting and equestrian activities through innovative displays.

Counsellor Youssef Saeed Al Abri, ADJD’s Under-Secretary, highlighted that their participation seeks to educate enthusiasts about the laws governing hunting, equestrian sports, and camel racing in the UAE. This initiative aligns with directives from His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan to engage in various platforms for promoting security and stability through law enforcement.

Al Abri emphasised that the exhibition serves as a specialised platform showcasing Abu Dhabi's rich heritage in hunting and equestrianism. He noted that the Department's involvement provides a significant opportunity to connect with individuals interested in these sports. The focus is on educational materials that offer preventive protection, uphold rights, ensure legal compliance, and achieve justice.

The pavilion features creations by inmates from correctional and rehabilitation centres, including handicrafts and artworks. This initiative supports inmates' work, enhances their skills, and aids their reintegration into society. Additionally, an electronic library offers publications on legal and judicial topics relevant to the sports sector in the UAE.

A designated area within the pavilion showcases services of the English Notary Services Bureau, a first in the Middle East. This bureau simplifies legal procedures for businesses, boosting Abu Dhabi’s global competitiveness and attractiveness to foreign investments. Visitors can also watch a film highlighting the contributions of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan in supporting various sports.

The Department provides various publications on sports and hunting at the exhibition. These include materials from the Abu Dhabi branch of the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) and research from the Sports and Law magazine. These resources cover sports disputes, laws, jurisdiction of international arbitration courts, and updates from sports federations and committees.

Counsellor Al Abri stated that engaging with exhibition attendees helps preserve achievements across sectors while enhancing Abu Dhabi’s global position. The educational aspect of legal materials plays a crucial role in maintaining rights and ensuring compliance with laws.

The ADJD's participation underscores its commitment to promoting legal culture related to hunting and equestrian activities. By raising awareness among enthusiasts, it aims to foster a secure environment through law enforcement.

This initiative reflects ADJD's dedication to supporting various sectors by providing essential legal information. It also highlights Abu Dhabi's efforts to maintain its competitive edge globally while preserving its cultural heritage.
