ADEK Launches Summer School Break Camps To Inspire Lifelong Learning In Students

As schools in Abu Dhabi close for the summer, the Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK) has introduced its latest School Break Camps. These camps aim to provide students with an engaging holiday experience that extends learning beyond traditional classrooms. Developed with input from parents and in collaboration with top organisations, the camps focus on hands-on, project-based learning across various interests.

Parents can select from a variety of camps tailored to their children's preferences. Options include Culinary Arts by ICCA, Art Explorers and Mobile Art Programme by Brainy n Bright with Kenaz, Transformative Journalism by Storm, Arabic Heroes by Beit Arabi Center, and Arabic Literacy by Al Mubarakah Foundation. These programs cater to diverse interests ranging from arts to literacy.

ADEK's Summer Camps Inspire Young Minds

On the sports side, Haraka Fitness offers a 5-day Multi Sports Camp featuring touch rugby, tennis, netball, cricket, badminton, and dodgeball. Students can also join specialised camps like the Football Camp by Pass Academy or the Wrestling Camp by the UAE Wrestling Federation. The Unified Basketball Camp by Storm provides inclusive basketball training for all participants.

This summer introduces future-readiness camps aimed at developing 21st-century skills. Programs such as Young Business Leaders by Storm, Financial Literacy by Zoud, and Future Careers by Pole Position with Hashtat are designed to prepare students for future challenges. These camps focus on building a well-rounded generation equipped with essential skills.

High school students have opportunities for advanced training in AI and technology through collaborations with leading universities. Options include Build What’s Next Camp by Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence and Ektashef Camp by Khalifa University. Additionally, Abu Dhabi University offers the Future Tech Explorers Camp while IIT Delhi – Abu Dhabi presents the Energy & AI Bootcamp.

UAE University in Al Ain provides Innovate in 3D: Design for Impact, Data Science & Visualization, and Prompt Engineering camps. These programs offer students a chance to delve into cutting-edge fields under expert guidance.

Intensive Bootcamps and Additional Offerings

Students can participate in one of 42 Abu Dhabi's intensive bootcamps that use a peer-to-peer approach. Options include AI Summer Camp, Discovery Piscine - Python, Al Ain Piscine, Literacy Unlocked: Powered by AI Camp, Generative AI & Prompt Engineering Camp with Brainy n Bright, and Khalifa Fund Venturists Camp with Khalifa Fund.

Apart from these offerings, parents can explore 33 additional camps curated by trusted industry organisers. These are designed to ensure every student has a meaningful and enriching experience during their break.
