ADDED Collaborates With 7X To Enhance Digital Transformation For Businesses In Abu Dhabi

The Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED) has partnered with 7X to introduce the "Wayn" service, a digital P.O. Box solution, to licensed businesses in Abu Dhabi. This initiative is designed to bolster the local economy and business sector by promoting digital transformation and ensuring secure postal services for both individuals and companies.

Once businesses are verified and added to the platform's whitelist, they can communicate securely with their customers, enhancing trust in their digital offerings. The Wayn platform allows users to obtain a permanent UAE digital address linked to their physical location, verified through national ID or the National Economic Register (NER).

ADDED and 7X Partner for Digital Transformation

The platform ensures safe receipt of shipments from individuals, companies, and government bodies. It also facilitates receiving letters, documents, and e-bills from authorised senders, protecting against cybersecurity threats like phishing and fraud. Users can choose delivery locations such as Emirates Post branches or authorised points.

This collaboration offers significant benefits for companies registered on the Wayn platform. It improves operational efficiency in managing documents and parcels, reducing delivery times by up to 70% and cutting costs by up to 65%. Digital P.O. Boxes also enhance a company's professional image while safeguarding sensitive documents from cyber threats.

The agreement was signed by Mohammed Munif Al Mansouri, Executive Director of the Abu Dhabi Business Centre, and Abdullah Mohammed Alashram, Group CEO of 7X at GITEX Global 2024. Al Mansouri stated that this partnership aims to develop Abu Dhabi's business ecosystem by providing an optimal environment for businesses.

He emphasised that initiatives to accelerate digital transformation are yielding results. This cooperation will help companies improve efficiencies and reduce costs while enhancing cybersecurity levels. "We remain committed to providing more innovative solutions," he said.

Commitment to Innovation

Abdullah Mohammed Alashram expressed delight over the MoU with ADDED. He highlighted that this agreement reflects their dedication to offering innovative solutions that boost business efficiency and foster a modern digital environment supporting key sectors' growth across the UAE.

This collaboration is crucial for realising Abu Dhabi’s economic vision of becoming a global trade hub while advancing technological innovation. It strengthens the nation’s secure digital communication infrastructure.

Strengthening Digital Communication Systems

The agreement marks an important step in enhancing cooperation between government entities and private sectors to fortify digital communication systems against cyber threats. It aims to equip businesses with advanced tools to keep pace with technological advancements, reinforcing the UAE’s global standing.

This initiative underscores efforts to provide cutting-edge solutions that support socio-economic development while ensuring maximum privacy through top-notch security practices.
