Tier IV Data Centre Certification For AD Ports Group Granted By Uptime Institute

AD Ports Group has become the first trade and logistics company worldwide to secure Tier IV Certification of Constructed Facility from the Uptime Institute, marking the highest recognised data centre rating. The certification confirms that the Group’s core data centre operates with full fault tolerance, ensuring services can continue during unplanned incidents. The facility underpins global trade activities across more than 50 countries and supports the Group’s hybrid cloud environment.

The Tier IV-rated site is designed to deliver 99.995 percent availability, with redundant power, cooling and network systems. It processes over 150 million digital transactions each year, providing a stable digital backbone for supply chains and port operations. This resilient infrastructure supports mission-critical systems and protects logistics services against outages, data loss and operational disruptions.

Tier IV Data Centre Certification for AD Ports

According to AD Ports Group, the Tier IV certification underscores a broader strategy focused on digital transformation, operational resilience and technology-driven logistics. The company is using the accredited data centre to support advanced AI tools for the maritime sector, aiming to improve routing, asset utilisation and port efficiency. These systems depend on continuous data flows and secure processing capacity, which the Tier IV design is structured to provide.

The facility also serves as the main hub for real-time information generated from the Group’s Low Earth Orbit satellite connectivity services. Data from the LEO network helps monitor and optimise AD Ports Group’s 270-vessel fleet worldwide. This satellite-linked infrastructure allows near-continuous tracking of vessel performance, environmental conditions and operational events, supporting safer and more efficient shipping activities.
