AD Ports Group To Empower UAE's Youth With New Council Initiative

In a significant move to empower the nation's youth, AD Ports Group, a prominent facilitator of logistics, industry, and trade globally, has unveiled its "Youth Council." This initiative, developed in collaboration with the Federal Youth Authority, aligns with the UAE leadership's vision to prioritize youth development as a cornerstone for the country's ongoing sustainable growth. The council aims to serve as a nurturing ground for young talent, fostering innovative projects and initiatives that align with the Group’s strategic objectives.

Captain Mohamed Juma Al Shamisi, Managing Director and Group CEO of AD Ports Group, emphasized the critical role of the youth in the nation's progress. "Our youth are our greatest asset," he stated, highlighting their vitality and creativity as essential to both the organization and the UAE's broader ambitions. The Youth Council is expected to play a pivotal role in integrating young perspectives into the decision-making processes, thereby contributing significantly to the Group's and the nation's future.

Empowering UAE's Youth: New Council

Under the leadership of Hamad Mohammed Al Hosani, Director of Human Capital and Emiratisation, the council will feature representatives from various sectors within the Group. Members include Zayed Hashem Musaed, Rawdha Abdulla Al Mheiri, Mohamed Khaled Al Rashdi, Sultan Saleh Al Marri, Abdulrahman Abdulla Al Maskari, Shamma Awad Al Ghaithi, Shamsa Abdelwahab Al Najjar, Abdulrahman Mohammed Al Nuaimi, Shamma Mohamed Al Khoori, Mariam Ismaeil Al Hammadi, and Saif Ali Al Maskari.

The Youth Council is tasked with several key responsibilities aimed at fostering a conducive environment for youth engagement. These include creating a sustainable platform for interaction with AD Ports Group’s decision-makers, spearheading youth-centric initiatives, coordinating with various sectors for launching new youth initiatives, and managing youth events and activities. Additionally, the council will monitor youth-related data and statistics to ensure their representation in all organizational surveys and studies. It will also report on performance indices and set a national youth agenda while proposing budgets to achieve its objectives.
